· Pre-Shipment Inspection(PSI)
Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) is one of the most common solutions adopted by importers to check consumer goods for quality and regulatory compliance. PSI takes place before goods are shipped, typically after 100% production completion and 80% finished packaging across all item models. Enuoda inspectors draw random samples from production batches following ANSI/ASQ Z1.4-2003 AQL sampling standards. Under our standard rules for consumer goods, inspections are grouped per PO/PI: Inspection Level II, AQL: CRI=0, MAJ=1.0, MIN=2.5. We also comply with customized sampling rules requested by clients. For instance, Inspection Level I with AQL: CRI=0, MAJ=1.0, MIN=4.0 can be applied to minimize sample size.
Highly clear and detailed photos are captured by inspectors during the inspection. Inspectors conduct the inspection based on the following criteria:
- The customer’s product specifications
- Customer-provided approved samples
- The purchasing contract between the customer and vendor
- Applicable international standards (e.g., IEC, EN, UL) for the product category
- Regulatory requirements of the cargo’s destination country (particularly for customs clearance)
Typically, Enuoda’s PSI inspection report includes the following sections:
• Merchandise information
• General inspection results
• Packaging details
• On-site testing results
• Dimensional measurement data
• Workmanship assessment
• Marking & Labeling verification
• Product specifications compliance
• Customers’ special requirements fulfillment
• Destination country regulatory compliance
• Inspection photographs
All identified defects are explained and clarified to the factory representative. Photographic documentation of all defects is mandatory, and upon customer request, defective samples will be sealed and shipped to the customer for final confirmation.
A draft report is provided to the factory immediately upon completion of the inspection. Enuoda guarantees the official report will be delivered to the customer within 24 hours. The customer retains the final authority to approve or reject the shipment after reviewing the PSI report.
